Rockhampton Airport – Large Commercial Demolition & Stripout Project

Busby Demolition & Asbestos have worked with Woollam Constructions since March 2020, to carry out demolition and a full stripout to the Front of House and Back of House of the Rockhampton Airport for the ongoing major refurbishment of the building. The majority of these works had to be conducted outside of normal hours (night shift) so that there was no interruption to the everyday operation of the airport.

The project has involved:

• all ceiling and tile/floor removal
• structural steel removal
• demolition of the cafeteria and newsagency
• internal partitions
• removal of concrete slabs for hydraulic services
• roof sheet and structural roof steel removal
